Research & Planning : Mis-en-scene
In these photos it shows some of the mis-en-scene used in our trailer.
For the blood we did differnt tests on a white sheet to see which one looked more realistic. We tested Ketchup , Fake blood and Food colouring. In the end food colouring looked more realistic so we used them as seen in the pictures.
For costume i decided it would be best if we just kept it to a plane white old nighty as it looks plan but is effective in giving it that freaky look. We also used red contact lenses. I did stephs make up with pale white powder to make her look pale and washed out. Then darkend her eyes with black and red eyeshadow. We also put blue eye shadow on her lips giving a cold ghostly effect.
I thought the mis-en-scene worked well as it clearly suggests to the audience the genre and a slight insight to the storyline of the trailer.
